Big Brother 16, Episode #13

Hey Readers!

You would think that with Devin out of the House that the mood would be calmer, but it has only gotten crazier! This is all thanks to the House’s resident cowboy, Caleb.  His affections toward Amber have him going a little bonkers, causing others to be on edge.  And with no other huge targets in the House anymore, Caleb and his antics are sticking out like a sore thumb, which is helping the game of the Floaters.  Will Caleb’s actions cause the House to get him out early?  Read below to see what happened.

An Overlooked Threat in the House

Amber is on the war path as of late.  She was upset because she thought she had been put on the Block as a pawn too many times, and she has become sick and tired of being used this way.  Amber confessed that she was gunning for the boys, and they had better look out for her.
With this most recent BOTB victory (as Jacosta was of no help to her in this one), Amber has been a formidable competitor this season.  This should be something that the boys should be looking out for, but they can’t seem to look past her, uh, exterior.

Brittany Feeling Bummed Out

Brittany was dishing with Zach how disappointed she was about being stuck on the Block for another week.  She felt shunned by the House and by Cody for putting her on the Block. Zach asked her how bad did she want to stay in the House, and she said she would fight to stay.  Zach confessing the Diary Room that she would have to win the PoV to make her wish come true.

Cody Heating Things Up, Literally and Figuratively

Cody began warming up Amber’s cold hands under the eagle eyes of Cowboy Caleb and other on-lookers in the HoH Room. Caleb did not like how Home Skillet (Cody) was moving in on Ole Girl (Amber) right in front of him. Caleb left the room, and he was talking to Zach about how upset Caleb was at what Cody was doing, and about lying about not wanting to be with Amber.  He was also angry about Amber not “showing her appreciation” to Caleb for “saving her” from the Block last week. Caleb keeps forgetting he put her there, without asking her, then made himself her knight in shining armor! Zach just shook his head and told Caleb what he wanted to hear, then skulked off to inform Cody of what he heard.

Finding Company in Misery

Brittany and Caleb were commiserating over their plights in the House.  Caleb heard what Brittany had to say about how she didn’t deserve to  be on the Block, and he found himself agreeing with what she was saying.  Caleb told her about the Amber and Cody situation, and she said that the only reason why she was still on the Block was because she didn’t want to be lying on Cody’s lap to make him happy. Brittany confessed in the Diary Room that having Caleb on her side may be a good thing because everyone in the House was intimidated by him.

Veto Comp Players Picks Meeting

Here are the players for this week’s PoV Comp:

Cody (HoH), Brittany (Nominee), Victoria (Nominee), Zach (Cody’s pick),  HouseGuest’s Choice (Caleb – Brittany’s pick), and Nicole (Victoria’s pick).

Cody Smells Something Fishy

Cody was shocked that Brittany chose Caleb as her HouseGuest’s Choice for the PoV.  He took Caleb aside to figure out what was going on. Caleb told him that he was talking with Brittany, and that he believed that Cody was making a mistake with his target this week. After hearing this, Cody could no longer trust where Caleb’s head was anymore.

PoV Comp – BB CUP
In honour of the FIFA World Cup, BB 16 decided to have one of their own, BB style. This PoV was another Comp where it was played in a series of rounds. Each riund, the players had to use a “kicker” to aim a soccer ball into a goal that was divided up into different numbered areas. The player with the lowest score would be eliminated, and would have to take a “prize” from the trophy table . Players that were eliminated in later rounds were able to swap their prize for one that a previous loser chose. The winner would be the person that ended up with the golden power of Veto.

This is how this Comp panned out:
1st Eliminated – Cody. Prize – Veto.

2nd Eliminated – Brittany. Prize – Penalty Kicks (must receive 10 self-inflicted kicks in the butt whenever the signal goes off for 24 hrs). She traded with Cody for the Veto.

3rd Eliminated – Zach. Prize – Trip to Germany.  He kept this prize.

4th Eliminated – Nicole. Prize – Goal Oriented (must score 2400 soccer goals in 24 hrs. If not complete the punishment, then cannot take part in the next Veto Comp). Nicole traded this prize with Brittany for the Veto.

5th Eliminated – Victoria. Prize $5 000. She traded prize with Nicole for the Veto.

Last Player Standing – Caleb. Prize – Germatard (a German-themed unitard that must be worn for a week). He traded it with Nicole for the $5 000.

Victoria won the PoV

Punishments Dealt Out

Nicole came out of the Diary Room in her second fun outfit in two weeks. This time, she was in her cute Germatard! She did look cute in it, and, once again, the house made her feel good about her punishment.  The House was also supportive of Brittany and Cody of their punishments.  Whenever they could, the HouseGuests would go out to the BB Backyard and cheer Brittany on as she scored goal after goal.  Her feet became sore and hurt, but she was a trooper, not giving up until the task was complete.  Everyone also watched Cody as he used this “kicker” to give himself 10 kicks in the butt for a day.  There were times that the buzzer didn’t go off and he gave himself the punishment because he thought he heard the buzzer go off! The house had to tell him a few times that he was hearing things.

Donny Talking Strategy

Not wanting to act as a pawn in this game, Donny finally started talking strategy with Zach and Hayden.  He was thinking that Cody could back-door Caleb this week.  His reasoning: because Caleb would become more cocky the longer he stayed in the House. Everyone understood what Donny was talking about.

Playing With Your Pride or Playing With Your Head

Cody was furious with Caleb for taking the $5 000.  He was ranting and raving about how he was going to put Caleb on the Block as Victoria’s replacement.  Frankie and Zach were frantically trying to get Cody to change his mind about putting Caleb up on the Block.  Frankie told Cody not to loose an ally (Caleb) over something like this in the game. Later on, Derrick tried reasoning with Cody, telling him that they could get Caleb soon, but Brittany needed to go now because she was gunning for them, while Caleb on had his sights set on getting Amber to want to be with him.  Cody disagreed with them, saying that Caleb couldn’t stay because he treated Cody like a punk for taking the money over the Veto.  Derrick said that is not looking long-term in the game (which is true), but Cody also has a point. He shouldn’t let people step all over him in the game, either.

Donny went to speak with Cody about what was happening.  Donny said he didn’t want to be used as a pawn to get rid of Brittany, and that Cody should be playing his game, not the game that others want him to play.  Donny Cody also said that he would not hold it against Cody if up as a replacement Nominee because he knew there were other people behind this decision. Cody liked what Donny had to say, and  told him, shaking his hand, that he wouldn’t be put up on the Block.

Veto Meeting

Victoria swiftly used the PoV to take herself off the Block.  With a heavy heart, Cody had to break his gentleman’s agreement and put Donny on the Block.  Donny vowed to get to the bottom of who was responsible for putting his safety in the game in harm’s way.  Brittany said she had into game mode in order to stay in the House.

Wow, Readers! My second pick is in real danger of leaving the House this week.  It doesn’t look good for Brittany since more people in the house would rather see Donny stay over her.  It also does not look good for the solidarity of Team America.  When Donny finds out that it was his fellow members that fought Cody to put him on the Block as a pawn, I am not sure what he will think about wanting to be a part of a team that wanted him on the Block, no matter how “safe” we was.  Will Brittany go home this week?  Will Donny find out it was the remainder of Team America that put him on the Block?  Who will be next week’s HoHs?  Come on back to see the results of this week’s Eviction and more on my blog.

Until my next post, Readers!

Big Brother 16, Episode #9: The Bomb Squad Explodes

Hi Readers! Last week was an interesting week in the BB House, and if this episode was any indication of what’s to come, then we’re in for quite a ride this week!  Who will be nominated for Eviction this week by Nicole and Derrick? Continue down the page and find out!

Devin May Be Opening the Front Door for Himself
Devin is sure he is at the top of the list to be the next HouseGuest out of the door, so he does something that may seem as though it is smart, but I think it will hurt his chances at staying in the game: He exposes the Bomb Squad.  He went around telling people before Eviction Night about this alliance, and most if them thought he was stupid for saying anything because it doesn’t make other people feel as though they can trust or want to work with Devin because he was spilling the beans about the Bomb Squad to everyone. He said that he was no longer in an alliance with them anymore, and he thought that by passing along this “valuable” information, that other players would want to work with him. Sorry, Devin. This is only hurting your game more than it is helping it.

The HoHs Are Putting Their Heads Together
Nicole and Derrick were in their HoH Room trying to figure out who they were gojng to nominate this week.  Derrick’s agenda was to try and back-door Devin, and he wanted to make sure that Nicole was on board with this plan without telling her.

BB 16’s 1st Showmance Date Viewers got to see Nicole and Hayden on their first Showmance date in the famous BB Backyard hammock.  They were flirty and cute while having a good time together.  They do make a cute couple.

The Cop and the Cowboy Make Up a Plan
Derrick and Caleb came up with a plan to try and get rid of Devin. It was this: Derrick would nominate Caleb so he could then throw the BOTB Comp. They would also make sure Nicole didn’t nominate Devin, as he was banking being put up on the so he has a chance of taking himself off the Block and not being back-doored.  Caleb said that this was risky, but sometimes you need to be risky to win.

Caleb’s Other Agenda
Caleb felt that he should let his “Queen” know about what happening so she wouldn’t be worried about him. He let her in on the plan, and she thought it was a bit nutty, but that it could work.  Then, thinking he has an in with Queen Amber, he then tries to make headway for his showmance by appealing to her sympathy. I just really hope Caleb doesn’t get too burned by Amber. He has really fallen for her.

The Rule of Thumb Generally is to Keep It Yourself
Nicole, conflicted by the choices she has to make as an HoH, turned to Donny for advice. She lets Donny in in Derrick and Caleb’s plan to get rid of Devin. For some reason, Donny thought he could just blab the plan to the rest of the House. Amber caught wind of Donny telling other HouseGuests of what was going on and went to Nicole to tell her the news. Nicole was as confused as ever about the nominations, and now she and Amber suspected Donny of being more devious than he was letting on.

Nominations
Here are the HouseGuests Nicole and Derrick decided to put on the Block this week: Nicole – Amber and Donny Derrick – Jocasta and Caleb.

Devin Doing Damage Control
Devin was a bit surprised that he wasn’t nominated, but this also set off alarm bells in his head, telling him that he may be getting back-doored this week. So off he went to see Derrick to smooth things over to make sure that he was safe this week. Derrick, lying, told Devin not to worry about anything, and that he was safe. After their conversation, both HouseGuests knew that Devin would have to win the PoV in order to stay safe.

Frankie’s Going Frantic
Some of the HouseGuests are freeing Frankie out because they are becoming more curious about his family. He doesn’t mind going into detail about his parents or his brother, but when it comes to his lil’ sis, Ariana, he gets a little squirrely! He’s shifty, awkward and evasive. The HouseGuests have noticed this about him whenever the topic of his sister comes up. He is, rightfully, afraid of what will happen if the HouseGuests find out who his sister is, and how this bit of information may change Frankie’s position in the House. Frankie has got to get this nervous twitch under control, or else people will suspect him of hiding things and not trust him.

Team America’s First Mission
Derrick was given the instructions to Team America’s first mission this season. Their task: To make three other HouseGuests believe that one of their fellow HouseGuests is related to a past BB player. After some chit-chat in the BB Storage Room, they decided that Zach would be related to past season’s HouseGuest, Amanda. It was a great choice. They kind of look alike, are both from Florida, and both of them are hot-heads. The Team has three days to complete their mission. They then proceeded with America’s bidding to spread the “news” about Zach.

Getting Facts Straight
Nicole felt terrible about nominating Donny, and they had a private chat about it. Nicole asked Donny why he would talk about the plan, and he said he thought it wasn’t a secret. Nicole asked him if she specifically said not to say anything, and, after some thought, he said she didn’t. After telling him that “mum’s the word” would have been implied kn conversations like this one, the two of them hugged it out. Boy, did Donny dodgedTea yet another bullet! He should be thanking his lucky stars he’s so likable!

BOTB Comp: Abraca-BOB-Bra
The two pairs of Nominees had to put together a wall puzzle. One person (Donny and Caleb) had to gather the puzzle pieces and bring them to their partners (Amber and Jocasta) who they were attached to on a pulley that would raise and lower them as the guys moved closer and farther away from the wall in order to put the pieces of the puzzle together. The first team to put the puzzle together would win the BOTB Comp, come off the Block, and force the HoH that nominated them to lose their HoH status. It was so obvious to viewers that Caleb was throwing the Comp, allowing for Donny and his “Queen,” Amber to be safe for the week. Once the Comp was over, Nicole mysterious “vanished” in a puff of smoke, having the HouseGuests wondering where she had gone.

It’s beginning to be one a little wacky in the House, Readers! Jacotsa has no idea she has become a pawn and is in a very dangerous position right now. Anything could happen with this game, resulting in her being the one to leave this week. Could Devin get his act together and win a second PoV in a row to save himself from Eviction? Will Caleb finally win Amber’s heart? Will there be a second date between Nicole and Hayden? Where did Nicole go anyway? Hopefully most of these questions will be answered in the next episode of BB16! Come back to my blog to see what happens next on BB16!

Until my next post, Readers!

Big Brother 16, Episode #8: The House Finally Did Something Right

Hiya Readers!

It’s the second Eviction Night on BB 16, and wow, was it an amazing episode! It was finally like the Big Brother I am used to seeing. There was a lot of drama, lying and back-stabbing…you know, like a good season of this series! Oh, and the House was sort of set right with this week’s Eviction.  Which of the Nominees got the boot?  Read on and find out!

PoV Meeting Continued

Brittany asked to say something right at the end of Episode #7 ended. She went on to sort of defend Devin’s actions.  She explained that Devin had told her that Paola had thrown the BOTB Comp in order to make sure that Brittany would stay on the Block when she was suppose to be her friend. Paola denied Brittany’s accusations, saying that this was a lie. Devin then chimed in, saying that he had even told Hayden and Nicole that Paola was going to throw the Comp because he had wanted Brittany to stay on the Block.  Zach then opened his mouth, saying that Paola sucked at everything so she deserved to be on the Block, and that he was coming after Devin if he got to stay in the House. Everyone else in the BB Living Room was in shock about what had just happened in front of them. Does this mean that the Bomb Squad is over.  Wither way, a bomb just went off in the BB House!

The End of a Bromance?

Caleb was angry with Zach for pretty much exposing the Bomb Squad to the House and for causing such a rift within it.  Even Zach’s biggest ally and “bromance,” Frankie, was not very happy with Zach.  He pretty much told Zach that he was an idiot for saying and doing what he did.  It got to the point where Frankie didn’t want to speak to him anymore and he left the room. Frankie then confessed in the Diary Room that Zach had ruined his game because he was seen as being so close to Zach.

Deny, Deny, Deny

Zach and Paola were lounging in the BB Backyard with a few other HouseGuests, and they got to discussing which of the two of them people should vote for to leave the House this week.  Paola began putting people on the spot, making them feel awkward about how they should answer.  Zach then told Paola to stop making people feel as though they should give a knee-jerk answer.  They then got into a yelling match about how Paola was lying about throwing the BOTB Comp again, making people even more uncomfortable.

Forcing Another Person into the Fold

Devin summoned Hayden into his HoH Room to ask him to replace Zach as the 8th member of the Bomb Squad.  Since Hayden could see where this alliance was going if they were nominating their own members already, he reluctantly agreed to joining the Bomb Squad, but he also confessed that he was really out to dismantle this alliance.

Live Vote and Eviction

Julie Chen gave each of the Nominees a chance to plead their cases to yhe House as to why they should stay. Paola basically spoke about how horrible Devin and Zach were as players was, how she loved everyone in the House, and that she should stay because she is such a positive person. Zach said that Paola was a horrible player, and that if he gets to stay, that his #1 mission the next week would be to see Devin walk out the BB House. This is how the House voted: Paola – 10; Zach – 2. Yep! Paola is finally out of the BB House! This should have been done last week. Finally, in my opinion, the House did something right.

Paola Chatting with Julie Chen on the Outside

During her exit interview, Paola came off flighty, yet angry because Devin screwed with her game. She has her own mind. She could have not thrown the BOTB Comp, but she threw it, along with her chances at the BB 16 crown.

HoH Comp: UNDERWATER POLO Each HouseGuest (minus Devin) had to hit a polo balk with a polo mallet to get the ball into a numbered slot on the other side of a board. The player with the two highest scores would become the next set of HoHs. Once all of yhe HouseGuests had their turn, Nicole and Frankie ended up winning the Comp with scores of 29 (the highest score you can get) and 24. Julie Chen congratulated the winners, marking the end of the episode.

There you have it, Readers! Eviction #2 has come and gone, clearing the decks for another crazy, action-packed week in the BB House.  I wonder what will happen in the House.  Will Devin’s reign of terror see him put up on the Block? Who else will be put up alongside Devin?  What new concoction will the producers make the Have-Nots eat this week?  Find all of these things out by swinging back by to my blog to see how everything pans out!

Until my next post, Readers!

Big Brother 16, Episode #7: Flip-Floppy Leadership May Lead to a Mutiny!

Hi Readers! To me, this season of BB 16 went from frustration to downright confusing! It seemed as though the House was becoming whishy-washy and complacent.  After watching this episode, I’m still scratching my head wondering where the House is going to go from this point forward. The only explanation I can give you to sum all of this confusion up would be this week’s HoH, Devin.  How does he figure into all of this chaos? Keep reading and it will all make more sense (I hope).

It’s Not Over Until It’s Over

After the BOTB Comp, Nominees Brittany and Paola were thinking about their positions on the Block. Brittany has figured out that Devin has her in his cross-hairs, but she tell Paola that she is not going to give up without a fight.

Trouble in Paradise?

While Devin continues to throw his weight around the BB House, members of the Bomb Squad who are not too happy with their leader met in secret to discuss what to do with their “dictator”. They didn’t like the fact that Devin was going after Brittany when they all thought that Paola didn’t deserve to be in the House, and that they were doing his dirty work for him. They also spoke about getting rid of Devin next week. Caleb has hopelessly fallen for Amber. He is all but tripping over himself to have his feelings for her reciprocated, and I think Amber is using this weakness to her advantage. As the two of them were flirting up a storm in the BB Backyard, Eagle-Eye Devin was watching the action between them, and was getting worried about where Caleb’s allegiance was leaning. In the Diary Room, Caleb did admit that he would rather have his “Queen” by his side than Devin.

Those still loyal to Devin filled him in on the division within the Bomb Squad and their lack of loyality to Devin. Raging, Devin met with the Bomb Squad to see what page everyone was on. When asked what’s going on, Caleb told him that they wanted Brittany to stay and for Paola to leave. Devon, upset with Caleb’s “change of heart,” blamed Amber for wanting Brittany to stay. Caleb then went on to tell Devin that the ladies of the alliance are afraid of him, and that he’s got to change his attitude towards him. This won some points back with me where Caleb was concerned. Devin left the BB Backyard in a huff, upset that he and Caleb no longer felt the same about Brittany leaving the House and his “treatment” of women, then returned, guns blazing at Caleb. It got to the point where Devin said that the alliance was over, and Caleb said that he was heading home next week.

Team America – Brains, Beard and Beauty

Viewers found out who they chose as last two members of Team America. Separately, Frankie and Derrick found out about their appointment to this group in the Diary Room, and were told that they would find out who the other members of their super squad at 9 PM by the weights in the BB Backyard by using the secret code words “Bald Eagle” and “Apple Pie.” Derrick and Frankie found out each other first, but couldn’t figure out who the last member was. Then, joining the group of HouseGuests casually late was Donny. After us8ng both code words correctly, they were happy with who America picked to be a part of this group. Frankie said this troop had the Brains (Derrick), the Beard (Donny), and the Beauty (himself, of course). Good work, American viewers, for putting together this team! It’s a great mix of HouseGuests, and I do think it will be amusing to see these guys try pulling off these tasks America will be putting up to!

Players for This Week’s PoV

Along with the HoH (Devin), and the Nominees (Brittany and Paola), Zach, Amber and Derrick were this week’s players to compete in the Veto Comp.  Brittany knew that she had to win this one for herself, or else she would most likely be facing Eviction this week.

Patching Things Up, Only to Have Them Unravel Again

Caleb felt that he would need to have Devin on his side to further his game, so he went to Devin to patch things up between them.  Devin was still trying to explain to Caleb why it was so dangerous to keep Brittany around, but Caleb kind of patted Devin on the head.  Caleb also let it slip that other Bomb Squad members were going to Put Devin up on the Block next week if they became HoH.  Devin called a Bomb Squad meeting to get to the bottom of things.

Since the group couldn’t come to an agreement as to whether Brittany or Paola should be evicted, Devin then moved onto the next order of business: Finding out who is disloyal to him. Zach thought he would be honest and spoke up for most of the group. He said that some members the alliance did want him gone and that they wanted Brittany to stay. This angered Devin, and Zach realized that he had put his foot in his mouth.  Zach went on damage control, but Devin wouldn’t hear it. He could not longer trust those in his alliance.

Veto Comp: OUT OF THIS WORLD

With everyone’s favourite HouseGuest, Donny, hosting the festivities, the six competitors for the PoV were looking spacetacular in their tight and shiny space suits.  For this Comp, the first player to balance all of their planets on the polls, without any of them touching the ground, would win the golden power of Veto.

Planets were bouncing everywhere, Devin’s tight suit ripped in the seat, and frustrations were running wild as the players tried to be the first to win the Veto.  Surprisingly, it was Devin who decisively won this Comp!

Down, But Not Out

Brittany was seeing her time in the BB House quickly slip away, but that did not stop her from trying every thing in her power to stay for another week.  She decided to go to the Grand Pooba to appeal to his softer side.  She told Devin that she secretly wanted a parent to win the game because they had it harder in this game than those without kids. Devin saw what Brittany was doing, but also got to see a different side of Brittany, changing his mind about wanting her out of the House.  Devin then asked her if Brittany could be loyal to him and stay out of his way.  If she could, then he would use the PoV on her.  She said she would be 100 % loyal.  Devin then went on to tell her that he told Paola to throw the BOTB Comp. This angered Brittany, now not caring if Paola left the House after Paola had tried to put a knife in her back.

The Fuse on the Bomb Squad is Getting Shorter

Zach knew he had some fancy talking to get back into Devin’s good graces. Devin still wasn’t having any of it.  Devin told him he didn’t trust him anymore because Zach tried to throw him under the bus within the Bomb Squad.  Zach, at his wit’s end, told Devin if he not longer trusted him, that he put him on the Block. Devin was taken aback for a moment, then said that this idea was not even on his mind until Zach brought it up.  The Bomb Squad had a deal that none of them would go up on the Block until the BB Jury House opened up. So, effectively, Zach gave Devin permission to break this deal.

PoV Meeting

Devin gave each of the Nominees a chance to sway him to use the PoV on them.  Paola was acting silly, thinking she had the PoV in her pocket.  Brittany just said that she would really appreciate being off of the Block, and how much she would want to continue playing the game. Devon, after apologizing for going back on his word, used the PoV on Brittany, shocking and angering Paola. He then shocked the whole House by putting Zach up as his replacement Nominee.  As the BB theme song began to play, Brittany said she would like to say something quickly, and you could see tempers starting to flare in the BB Living Room as the credits starting rolling to end the show.

That’s the end of another BB 16 episode! Fellow blogger, Notes from a Southern Kitchen, Kendall, let me know that the House was going to start cooking, but I didn’t know it would boil over the stove so quickly! I know that getting excited for this kind of action between people isn’t good, but at the same time, the HouseGuests know the type of situation they are signing up for when they apply to be on the show, so it’s kind of a gray area.

Where Devin’s leadership is concerned, it was shoddy! It was as though he was trying to go in ten different directions at once, yet not accomplishing much. The best thing he did was keep Paola up on the Block.  Other than that, he has cause turmoil for his alliance, and frustration for the rest of the House. Will Devin’s poor leadership bite him in the butt by the House getting rid of him next week? Which of the Nominee will make through the Live Vote and Eviction? Will Caleb make any more headway with Amber?  Come back to my blog to see what happens next on BB 16!

Until my next post, Readers!

Big Brother 16, Episode #6: Sincerity Can Be a Game Killer in the BB House!

Oh Readers! This episode of BB 16 was just so hard to watch, again! It was so weird! So many if this season’s House Guests were so open and honest with their feelings.  Please don’t get me wrong, I have no problem with people emoting, but sometimes, not saying everything that’s in your mind is almost as welcome as speaking your mind. Some people, whether it be by the end of the week, or within the next few weeks, will feel the effects of their verbal actions.  Who will these individuals be? Read below and you’ll find out!

Devin, one of this week’s HoHs, became very reflective after Julie Chen left the House Guests to their own devices (if this can actually be done in the BB House). He decided that, from this point on that he would play the game with honesty and integrity. I’m not sure how long this will hold up this season, as he is a part of an “secret” alliance, and not telling the rest of the House about it would go against what he was pledging to do, but we’ll see how this goes! Devin then goes to seek out the person he felt he did wrong to last week: Donny. He went to Donny, and in front of other people including Bomb Squad members, he told Donny about how he targeted Donny, his suspicions about his “true” background, and apologized for mistrusting him. Donny accepted his apology, but told De in that he would have to earn his trust again. This put the Bomb Squad members present even more on notice about wanting to work with Devin long-term in this game.

Devin, in his new-found ways, also decided to call a House meeting. House meetings usually end in a bit of drama, and this one was no different. Once the House was assembled in the BB Living Room, Devin told the House about how he was going to change the way he was going to play the game, his doubts about Donny and that it was his fault that the Nominees were on the Block last week, not those of the HoHs.

Once the meeting was over, a lot of people were upset over Devin’s admissions. The most vocal of the bunch was Brittany, one of my tw9 picks left in the House. Oh, this seems as though it is gong to go well for her! She told Frankie that she didn’t like how Devin was throwing his weight around the House, and that she didn’t like how the HoHs lied about the reasons why she and the other Nominees were put up on the Block last week. Here is where I agree and disagree with Brittany –

AGREE: Devin is an idiot for coming out and saying what he said to the House, and for throwing his weight around.

Disagree telling anyone and everyone about it, as well as being upset about people lying in the BB House! Once again, BB Players, you have to remember you’re playing a game to win $500 000. Not everyone will be totally upfront about everything they say and do.

Frankie said the smartest thing so far in this game: People, stop telling the truth all the time!

Word got back to Devin about Brittany and her feelings about what went down. This made Devin want to make Brittany his #1 target to leave the House this week.

On a lighter note, other people are becoming more sincere about their feelings for each other. Odd couple, and maybe first true shownmance of BB 16, Hayden and Nicole, started flirting with each other and hanging out a lot. This lead to Nicole speaking with her Nerd Twin alliance member, Christine, about adding him to their alliance she was a bit leery about it at first, then saw the benefit of having him with them. They then asked him about it in the BB Storage Room, and he was all for it!

More positive acts of sincerity were springing up in the House. It’s a bromance between Zach and Frankie. They are so outwardly affectionate with each other, that it made me smile. They work out, jump all over each other like lion cubs and even cuddle in bed together. They admit there’s no romantic feelings towards each other, but they have a genuine love forming between them I love seeing this bond forming between these two guys. It’s refreshing to see guys who are good friends not to be afraid of expressing their feelings any way they choose.

Nomination Ceremony

Devin and Amber came out of the HoH Room with the keys of the four nominees for the week.  Here are the names of these four lucky individuals:

Devin – Brittany and Paola. Why? – Paola has to “prove” the warrior she claimed to be; Brittany questioned his integrity in the game, so she is paying for this now.

Amber – Hayden and Nicole. Why? – They are both strong players?  This was such a weak reason to nominate people.  Yeah, these were really her nominations (I hope you heard the sarcasm dripping from that statement!)!

After delivering the bad news, Devin told Nicole and Hayden that they were safe this week, and that his real target was Brittany for what she said about him.  The both of them were not sure if they could trust him, but they were going to go along with the plan to see where it went. humph, I guess Devin’s promise of playing the game with honesty and integrity have just gone out the window, as Brittany is the only one who is unaware of the plan to make sure she is the one to go this week!

BOTB Comp: WE DID WHAT?

The pairs of Nominees had to look at a series of pictures to find the answers hidden amongst many pictures flashing on a screen in front of them.  If their answer was correct, they would win a point, along with give one person on the opposing team a punishment of some sorts.  The first team to four points would be removed from teh Block, and the HoH that put them on the Block would loose their HoH status. Here is how it all went down:

Brittany & Paola – 2 Points                                        Hayden & Nicole – 4 Points

Punishments:

Brittany – had to war beer goggles (they impaired her vision so she could barely see anything) for most of the Comp, and she received a Cannon Ball (where she was thrown into the pool with all of her clothes on).

Hayden – had to drink a “hang-over reducer” drink (a really disgusting drink that was suppose to reduce the effects of a hang-over), and received a swirly (getting his head flushed in a toilet).

Paola – had to wear a beer helmet that was constantly flowing beer.

As you can see, Devin’s plan work (with some help from Paola, as Devin assured her that she would be safe as well this week), and Paola and Brittany remain on the Block as this week’s Nominees.  Amber also received a parting gift for no longer being an HoH: She got smiled with pink goo on her head!  What a way to thank her for not really doing anything this week!

So, Readers, I hope you can understand why this episode was a hard pill to swallow.  All of the tears, Devin’s proclamations, and watching players who just don’t know how to play this game playing this game.  Besides the few sunny moments (Hayden and Nicole and Frankie and Zach), this episode would have been a wash!  Now that another one of my picks may be thrown out the House so quickly, I am hoping that Cody is as wise as he is great to look at, and becomes a player in this game.  Brittany has got to take herself off of the Block, and she must also realize that she is pretty much flying solo right now.  Will Brittany pull her fanny out of the fire by winning the PoV this week?  Will Devin continue his reign of terror on the House?  Come on back to my blog and see just how everything plays out!

Until my next post, Readers!

Big Brother 16, Episode #5: A House That Votes in Fear, Stays in Fear

Hi Readers, I guess you can tell by the title of this BB 16 post where this episode is is heading.  It was kind of disappointing to watch. I just shook my head until the closing credits came on. How did all of this come to pass? Read on, Readers, and you’ll understand.

The Bomb Squad was pushing hard for Joey to leave the House. Devin was strong-arming everyone to vote their way all over the House, and it was leaving a bad taste in the HouseGuests’ mouth.

Joey was doing everything she could to get people to see the wisdom of keeping her in the House longer. Her message was a good one: Don’t vote in fear. Vote for your game, not someone else’s.  She was also trying to make side deals with people, but that was not working, either. Joey then decided to switch tactics to those of the Bomb Squad, with a lighter tone. But in true Joey fashion, the method in which she decided to deliver that message wasn’t the best one to go along with.  She decided to create an alter ego, Alex, in order to have a little fun while campaigning for her safety in the game. Well, Alex was a bit ridiculous, as s/he was running around the House in some of the Bomb Squad’s clothes and make-up for stubble to make her point clear. The HouseGuests found her brash and funny, but did it hurt or hinder her efforts?

Sidetracking before revealing the Vote, Caleb decided to see if a showmance with Amber was in the cards for the two of them.  After some counseling from Frankie, he told her about how he noticed her looking at him a lot, and asked if there was something between them. Amber, shocked out of her mind by Caleb’s comments, politely excused herself from the situation, and awkwardly left him to his thoughts. She wasn’t having anything he was dishing out.

The Eviction Ceremony

When given the time to plead their case, Joey said that she was a stringer player than Paola was, and that people should vote with hearts, not out of fear. Paola said she was a better player than Joey, and if they kept her in the House, she would continue spreading her positive energy around to everyone.  I must have not seen all of Paola’s energy-spreading powers, as I do not watch the live feeds, and all I saw her do since she was nominated was curl up in a ball and sob about her situation.  That’s good editing for you!

It was a unanimous Vote: Joey was the first BB 16 HouseGuest to be Evicted from the House.  This may be foreshadowing how the House will tend to vote until the Bomb Squad is left, I guess.  Joey was so bubbly and positive for her exit interview with Julie Chen. It was sad to see her go.

HoH Comp: BB RAGER The HouseGuests had to move six kegs, one by one, while being on a balance beam.  If you fell off the balance beam, you were knocked out of the Comp. The first to get all of their kegs to the other side of the beam for each round would be the next HoHs. Since two HoHs were going to be crowned in this Comp, the House was split into ladies and gents. While the ladies had their separate comp, the guys were above them, throwing Frisbees at them to impede their progress.

Amber won for the first round, making her the first HoH for the week.  Cody had won for the guys.  Once in the BB Living Room, Julie Chen announced that Devin had actually won for the fellas, as Cody’s foot had touched the ground as he was leaping to pressing the buzzer to show that he had finished the task.

I’m not sure if I’m going to enjoy this week as potentially Amber (who will just do as she’s told) or Devin (who will become drunk off of this power) will be the HoH and have a lot of power over the House. Well, the Floaters had their chance to vote to keep a fighter in the game, but they didn’t want to “rock the House.” Now they have to live with the choice they made. hopefully, someone else will step up and take on the Bomb Squad, or with Devin in power, the Bomb Squad will explode on itself, causing for smaller, maybe even smarter alliances to be formed and battle it out in the House. Come on back to my blog to see just how this week in the BB House!

Until my post, Readers!

Big Brother 16, Episode #4: There is An Art Form to Creating an Alliance. That Isn’t It.

Hi Readers! This episode of BB 16 raised many emotions out of me: happiness, confusion, frustration and anger.  I guess that means that it must have been a good episode to watch.  It really was! So much happened in this episode, and it was hard to keep up with all of the action while jotting it all down.  Certain events happened that I saw coming, while other events made me smack my forehead, wondering if these people know what this show is all about.  If you’re wondering what I’m talking about, continue reading and you’ll see what I mean!

While everyone else was celebrating the end of the first Battle of the Block (BOTB) Comp, Frankie was worried about his position in the House. He knows what the game was like, and he didn’t know where Caleb’s head was at. Caleb, Devin and Frankie were still happy that Donny was still on the Block. Frankie then started shaking his head as Devin’s paranoid thoughts about Donny’s true identity were contagious, as Caleb again to see what Devin saw Donny during the BOTB Comp. They are beginning to think that Donny is some kind of ex-military soldier who is hiding his abilities from the rest of the House so that he’s not voted out.

Later that night, Devin confronted Donny about his “concerns”. Donny told him that he was being completely honest about who he was. Earlier that day, Donny poured his heart out to Devin about how happy he was about all of the support he was getting from the other HouseGuests. Donny didn’t like Devin’s interrogation of his character,so it made him trust Devin and his Double-D alliance less. Devin thought that Donny was saying all of these things in order to gain the trust and sympathy of other players so they will help him during the Poser of Veto (PoV) Comp. The next day, Devin dishes with Caleb about what he heard, and they want Donny out of the House more than ever!

Have/Have-Nots There was no comp this week. Four people had to volunteer for this position of honour. These players were: Joey, Cody, Hayden and Brittany. There were the lovely barrels of BB Slop displayed at the BB dining table, along with slopsicles. The chefs that come up with these new ways to eat slop must be paid handsomely to create such innovative dishes using slop! In addition to the cold showers and delicious menu of slop, Have-Nots also have to sleep in a most interesting room. Usually, this room is made to make its inhabitants sleep and just be uncomfortable, but the producers, I think, went above and beyond their capabilities where this room was concerned. The Have-Nots have to sleep, quite literally, in a cold room. The beds are icy and there is ice everywhere you turn. My jaw dropped when I saw this room, and this is the first time I felt sorry for anyone having to stay there for a week. Well, except for these brilliant volunteers this week.

My girl, Joey, wanted to create an all-girl alliance. It would have been a great addition to the Bomb Squad in the House, but Joey made a huge mistake in her presentation of her suggestion to the rest of the ladies in the House.  She gathered all of the ladies into the BB bathroom all at once and gave her proposal to them.  Where’s the mistake, you ask?  Well, men usually notice when all of the women that used to occupy a space magically went missing at the same time.  As well, women alliances do not go over well in the BB House.  I’m not saying I’m against the idea, I just think it should involve the right people in order to make it work.  Joey even admitted that this was an epic fail in the Diary Room.

Derrick, one of the guys who noticed the disappearance of the ladies in the House, used his police skills to figure out what was going on.  He then reported back to the Bomb Squad that he found out that the women were trying to form an alliance with each other, and that Joey was the mastermind behind it.  Caleb had a new target in the House to get rid of.  Really?! Joey, a woman who tried and failed putting together an alliance is such a threat to you, Caleb?  He just said that the girls were too stupid to put one together.  He was right in the sense that they actually didn’t end up wanting to be create an alliance, but to go after her for wanting to be a part of an alliance is just showing how much of a coward he is, and how threatened he is by a “stupid girl.” It also shows that he is afraid of being challenged in this game by going up against the strong players, leaving the Floaters to battle against.  I’ve lost some respect for him with this move.

PoV Meeting

The Houseguests met in the living room to choose the players for the PoV Comp.  Caleb (HoH), Donny and Paola (Nominees) were automatically a part of the challenge.  The other players’ name were picked out a bag.  They were: Victoria, Zach and Cody. Jocasta acted as the host for this challenge.

PoV Comp: MIAMI LICE

One the HouseGuests were all in their 80s Miami Vice gear, they were lead to the BB Backyard where it had been transformed into a huge tub with tons of suds, a huge head, and plenty of beg-shaped letters floating around.  It was the famous BB spelling comp where the players had to jump in and find letters to create a  word within a specific time period.  The player with the longest correctly spelled word would win the PoV.

After a lot of slipping, sliding and splashing about, the players all had their words ready to share. Her is how everyone did in this Comp:

Zach: WARNING (Correct); 7-letters long

Cody: COMPETIVELY (Worng); misspelled

Caleb: S_ECIALIZE (Wrong); missing a letter

Victoria: PHARMA_IST (Wrong); missing a letter

Paola: (CALTROU) (Wrong); misspelled? Not sure what word she was going for!

Donny:  SPLITTERS (Correct); 9-letters long

For all of the haters in the House who were saying that Donny was a dummy, maybe they should check themselves before they think this way again.  He destroyed the rest of the competitors in this Comp! It was really sad to see that the most of the other players couldn’t put a word together.  With a huge smile on his face, Donny gladly accepted the golden Power of Veto.

Now that there would be an open spot on the Block that would need to be filled, Joey went on damage control around House, trying to make her “mistake” better.  I wrote “mistake” because I don’t think it is right to think that wanting to be a part an alliance in the House is wrong.  It is a part of making it through this game! Anyway, Joey went around admitting it was her who thought of putting the alliance together.  She spoke to Caleb, and she thought she had gotten through to him about not putting her up as Donny’s replacement on the Block.  Caleb only fed Joey what she wanted to hear, as he said he was keeping her in mind as a candidate for the Block.

PoV Meeting

Once the HouseGuests were gathered in the living room, Donny announced that he was taking himself off of the Block.  Caleb then stood and told the House who he was going to nominate in his place.  Surprise, surprise, Readers! It was Joey! She was shocked by the news.  Now It is Joey and Paola sitting on the Block.  The House will decide who will be Evicted in the next episode of BB 16.

I hope you got why I enjoyed this episode so much, Readers!  When a show makes you emote in so many different ways, it can’t be bad!  Joey is getting the brunt of Caleb’s insecurities, and, hopefully, the House will be strong and see that she should stay in the House over Paola who doesn’t do much. Will Joey pull a rabbit out of her hat and get the House to save her over Paola?  Which two HouseGuests will be the next to wear the HoH crown?  Will the Have-Nots be singing the praises of those slopiscles after a few more dreadful days of having to eat them?  Pop back to my blog to find out!

Until my next post, Readers!

Big Brother 16, Episode #3: Oh, The Perils of Forming an Alliance!

Hey Readers!

Now that the Houseguests have played their first HoH Comps and Julie Chen has told them about the new comp Battle of the Block (BOTB), the Houseguests are in shock and awe over what this can mean for their strategies.  It also is making players think about who they would want to be allied with for the remainder of the season.  Some Houseguests were drawn together by similar interests, while others were roughly pieced together. Some of the Houseguests also learned about some of the perils of having an alliance as well!  Which of the Houseguests is regretting their decision of including certain players into their alliance? Continue on down the page to find out!

After the Houseguests were enjoying some down-time, Devin noticed something written on the BB Living Room monitor: NOMINATIONS TODAY. Soon, everyone in the House started to scramble, solidifying alliances, or trying to figure out whether or they would be safe from the wrath of the HoHs.

The HoHs were also hard at work, thinking about who they would put up as nominees for the first time. They made a deal to keep each other safe, no matter whose nominees won the BOTB. They also decided to create an alliance, and wanted to get some of the other male Houseguests on board. They recruited Cody, Devin, Zach, and Derrick. They called themselves the Bomb Squad. Cody and Derrick were not 100% sold on this idea because they didn’t want to become another Moving Company alliance from BB 15, and dissolve quickly. Caleb had to counsel Frankie on how to give the bad news to his nominees.

Nomination Ceremony

After the keys were pulled, four very unhappy people were left key less: Victoria and Brittany (Caleb’s nominees), and Donny and Paoula (Frankie’s nominees). The reason why they were nominated: Their poor performances during the first HoH Comps. This explanation doesn’t really hold water where Donny is concerned unless they were punishing Donny for falling out of the Comp before all of the ladies did. After the Ceremony, Paoula and Donny pledged to fight to win the BOTB Comp to save themselves from the Block.

Frankie was doing damage control where Victoria, his secret partner in crime, was concerned. He told her he had no idea that Caleb was going to nominate her, and that she was his ally. The truthful part of his statement was that she was his ally.

Devin decided to act alone by enlisting Christine and Amber into the Bomb Squad. After telling them EVERYTHING about the alliance, he then decided to tell the Bomb Squad what he did. Devin, it’s the beginning of the summer. Why would you make such a huge decision like this, well, ever! The other Bomb Squad members were not too pleased with his actions, either.

Devin’s mind was working in overdrive after he was observing Donny interacting with other players after a yoga lesson. He quickly ran to the HoH Room to dish about what happened, and his fears about Donny being this mastermind player who is trying to pull the wool over the House’s eyes. His Bomb Squad members had to talk Devin down, telling him that Donny is no threat to them, and that Devin is over thinking the situation (in other words, Devin is really paranoid right now).

BOTB Comp: THE POURING 20’S

The four nominated Houseguests were in the8r 20’s best as they had to use swings to pass “champagne” to each other using huge fake champagne flutes, then put the liquid into a huge glass glass filled with rubber balls. The first team to have one of the balls fall out would win the Comp, come off the Block, and the HoH that did not nominate them would be dethroned.

It was a downhill battle for Paoula and Donny, as they fumbled for pretty much the whole Comp vs. Victoria and Brittany, who won the game.

Now that Frankie has been stripped of his HoH status, he now began to worry about his status within the Bomb Squad, his alliance with Caleb, and his safety in the game. I would be, too if I was the only guy who wasn’t a jock in an alliance chalk full of jocks. This may actually help his place in the Bomb Squad, as he could be the covert member that no one would suspect of being a part of the Bomb Squad.

Well, Readers, this ends another episode of BB 16. Now that the nominees have been established, they can finally get in with the Have/Have-Not Comp and the PoV Comp. I love these comps because, for the most part, they are the messiest comps to watch, and there’s usually a lot riding on the outcome of these comps. Will Frankie fall victim of being out on the Block due to this season’s new twists? Will Devin’s actions bite him in the butt? Will new alliances form? Who will win the first PoV of the season? Hopefully, all of these questions will be solved in the next episode!

Until my next post, Readers!

Big Brother Season 16, Episodes #1 & 2: Welcome to the Jungle!

Hiya Readers!

They’re in! All 16 of this year’s BB16 Houseguests are in the House battling it out to walk away with the $ 500 000 prize.  All of them were so excited about starting the game, not knowing what laid in store for them this season.  How did they enjoy the new twists Julie Chen and the producers threw at them this season? Read on and you shall see!

NIGHT 1
The producers decided to make the season premiere a two-night event.  They split up the Houseguests so that one group of 8 would enter the House on Night 1 (June 25th) while the others entered Night 2 ( June 26th). As usual, Julie Chen was dressed to the nines in this amazing long red dress while exacting doom on welcoming the first group of Houseguests into the House. These players were: Paoula, Devin, Donnie, Frankie, Cody, Nicole, Amber and Joey.

Once all 8 were in the House and chose their beds, the players got acquainted with each other before the battling began.  Of course, some of the Houseguests were checking each other out for potential “future amusement” possibilities (Paoula and Cody), while others were sizing up their competition or figuring out how they were going to fake out their opponents (Donnie).

Once the Houseguests toasted their arrival in the BB House, Julie Chen popped up on the living room’s monitor to speak with them.  She announced to the Houseguests that one of them would become the first HoH of the season.  They all were excited by this news. She also dropped the bomb on the group that the HoH this season would not be safe as they had been in the past.  Most of the smiles left the faces of the players, wondering whether it was worth it to try to win this once coveted position.

After Julie Chen left the Houseguests to themselves for a bit, the ladies of the House got together and decided to form an all-girl alliance. Devin and Donnie also formed a secret alliance in the Storage Room.

HoH Competition #1: GO FLY A KITE
Julie then then reassemble the group to tell them to get ready for the first HoH competition of the summer. Once in the BB backyard, Julie Chen explained how the first comp of the season was going to work.

Each player was on a rolling log while hanging on to a tether.  The tether was attached to a kite that stayed up so long as they were pulling back on the tether.  It was an endurance challenge where the last person standing and their kite was still in the air became HoH.

While the rolling log and random sprays of “sunscreen”did its best to knock the players off balance, one Houseguest did manage to come out on top!  This is the order that the players dropped out of the comp:
Paoula, Joey, Nicole, Donnie, Devin, Cody, Amber (threw it), making Frankie the first HoH of BB 16!

After the Comp is over, the Houseguests are corralled into living room by Julie Chen.  She had Frankie sit in one of the specific orange chairs, then informs them that a second group of Houseguests will be joining them soon, and that a second HoH will be crowned from this group this week. Julie Chen also told them that there will also be only one of the HoH standing by the end of the week.  This, of course brought shock and awe to the Houseguests as they pondered what this season’s twist will affect them.

Julie Chen then ended the show by announcing another twist to the viewers. It’s Team America. The (American) viewers get to vote in the Houseguests that they would want to form an alliance with. These people would the be in a secret alliance, fulfilling missions chosen, again by the American viewers, in order to win $5 000 each per mission! The first member of Team America would be revealed during Night 2 of the season premiere.

NIGHT 2
Julie Chen wore a cute short hot pink dress to kick off Night 2 of the season premiere of BB 16. The final 8 contestants were ready to join the fun and festivities inside the House. These players are:
Caleb, Brittany, Christine, Derrick, Zach, Jocasta, Hayden and Victoria.

Once all inside the House, the first 8 told the second 8 of the first twist of the season (their separate HoH Comp and 2 HoHs this season). Once the news was out, more of the sizing up(some of the guys on each other), checking out (Caleb on Amber, Cody on Brittany) and strategy-making took place around the House.

Julie Chen then gathered the Houseguests back into the liv8ng room so she could tell them the second group of 8 about the two HoH Competition, and what it means for the game.

HoH Competition #2: OVER THE COALS
It was another endurance comp where the players had to hold on for dear life as they were being spun over the BB BBQ pit. The Houseguest who held on the longest would become the second HoH of the summer alongside Frankie. Here is the order in which the Houseguests literally fell out of this comp: Victoria, Brittany, Jacosta, Christine, Zach, Derrick, Hayden, leaving Caleb, who looked liked he was having the time of his life, as the winner.

Julie Chen then asks the Houseguests to return to the BB Living Room. She told the Houseguests that the HoH will each choose two nominees for Eviction. She also let them in on the second new twist of the game: Battle of the Block. Each week, the two pairs of nominees will battle head-to-head in a comp. The winning pair get to come off the Block. As well, he HoH that nominated the loosing pair of nominees gets stripped of their HoH powers, leaving only one soul HoH to rule the nest (almost quite literally since one of their beds jn the HoH Room is a nest-themed bed).

Julie Chen then let the Houseguests chew on this bit of info and then turned to the audience. She introduced the first member of Team America to all of us. This lucky individual is my Jody! She was pleased to have been chosen and can’t wait to get to work. She then instructed the audience to vote for the second member of this covert alliance in the House.

Well, Readers! That about wraps things up for the premiere episode of BB 16! It had a bit of everything, plus new twists to throw off the players’ strategy a bit. As you can see, the Houeeguests this season were thoroughly introduced to the game that could be like finding your way through a jungle in order to win it! Will actual showmances begin to blossom? How will Frankie and Caleb, who are polar opposites, fair as HoHs? Which HoH will be left standing after the Battle of the Block Comp? Pop back to my blog to find out about all of the action!

Until my next post, Readers!

Big Brother, Season 16! Let the Twists and the Showmances Begin!

Hiya Readers!

Tomorrow is the big day!  the Season Premiere of BB 16 will start another summer of twists, alliances,  back-stabbing, and of course, showmances.  Julie Chen will again host all of these festivities for the next 3 months.  This is one of my favourite shows to watch, and I’m so happy that it’s back!

This year, Julie Chen and the gang have promised to bring about more twists and surprises for the Houseguests (for our amusement), and there are some other notable changes as well.  One of the first changes BB has announced is that there will be 2 HoHs this season.  Yeah, 2 of them!  They will both be sharing the HoH Room with all of the perks, except one very notable one: They are not immune to being put up on the Block.  There will also be a new competition called “Battle of the Block” where a player can change their status in the game positively or negatively.

The BB House, a character in itself, has gone through some major renos as well!  This year, the producers have given the House a nature theme.  Most of the House looks like a huge tree house.  The bedrooms and the bathroom have taken on the theme of the 4 elements of nature, with the bathroom obviously taking the element of water (this was my favourite room).  The HoH Room looks as though they are peering down on the rest of the House, with a nest for the bed, and a perch-like area which totally separates them from the rest of the Houseguests.

Now that I have gotten all of shop talk out of the way, here are my pick as to who I think has the best chances of winning it all this summer.  It was hard to choose my picks this season, as it was hard to make a connection with most of them.

Pick # 1: Brittany

I like Brittany because she’s not going into this game with a fixed strategy.  She also seems to be a down to Earth type of person.

Pick #2: Cody

There’s something about him, based on what I read about him on the Cast Bios, that is so likeable.  If he is able to portray this amount of likeability with a few words after being asked a few questions, imagine what he will be like in the house.  Oh, he’s easy on the eyes, as well!

Pick #3: Joey

She is my underdog pick.  To me, she seems to be the nice person who may be that Floater-type that will make it far in the game, and then clench the $500 000 prize under everyone else’s nose.  She’s quirky, and different than the rest of the Houseguests.  Oh, and her last name also just happens to be the same as one of my  favourite Peanuts Gang characters, Lucy Van Pelt.  She just might surprise everyone!

So that about wraps it up on my Preview to a Premiere for BB16!   As most of you Readers know, my picks are not the best, as most of them end up leaving the game early.  I did well last year, with Andy as one of my picks, and he won the game! Let’s see if I have become better at choosing the winner of this season’s Big Brother!

Who would you choose as your picks to win it all on BB 16? Click here to check out the Cast Bios for yourself and let me know!

Until my next post, Readers!
