Big Brother 14, Episode #18 – Ian a Master-mind?

Hey Readers!

I’m excited about giving you the scoop in this episode.  There was so much happening between he houseguests, Ian master-minded putting Boogie and Frank on the block together, and then the Veto Competition happens…I know, I know.  Let’s just get to it!

Boogie and Frank were still wondering how they wound up on the block, and, more importantly, who put them there.  They both think it was Dan or Britney who master-minded this coup, but low and behold, it was their “loyal pal” Ian who was behind it all.

They went to Shane to find out some information, and Shane told them he heard the two of them were gunning for him, so he felt he had to strike first.  When asked where he heard this from, he did not give up his source.  With his swift wit, Shane came up with the idea to throw Britney under the bus for his decision to put them up for eviction, telling them that she was pressuring him to make a big move.  Way to hide under Britney’s skirts, Shane!

Shane then let Britney in on his encounter with Boogie and Frank.  She was livid with him.  She had to then go to Boogie and Frank to do damage control for Shane’s blunder.  Boogie then went fishing for more information with Britney.  The boys now placed the blame for their predicament on Dan.

Britney then let out her frustrations on Shane, pretty much telling him he should have been a man and owned up to his decisions instead of pointing the finger at her.  Shane then whinned about having to get his hands dirty.  Wake up, Shane!  Remember what reality game show you signed up for? It was Big Brother.  You may have to get your hands dirty once in a while.  Suck it up, man!

Boogie and Frank then move onto Dan with their investigation.  They told him they were upset they felt like they looked like fools to he rest of the House.  Dan, of course, denied telling Shane what he heard.Boogie then had Britney and Shane join their party to get the real story.Britney asked Boogie and Frank straight out if they were coming after Shane and herself.  They did their song and dance to avoid any blame for making this comment.  Britney commented in the Diary Room she was surprised Boogie didn’t remember telling Ian he was gunning for Shane and Britney.  This would have saved Boogie a lot of time if he had.  Since Dan still not devulge his source, Boogie and Frank decided that Dan was indeed the one behind their nominations.

I wanted to be a part of this week’s Veto Competition.  Candy World was the name of the game.  The HoH, the Nominees, along with Jenn, Ian amd Ashley had five minutes to look around the delectable displays of sugary delight.  For each round, they then had to guess how many of a certain type of candy was on each display.  For each round they won, they earned a lollypop.  The first person to earn three lollypops won the game and the Power of Veto.  Once again, to my dismay, Frank saves his butt from eviction and won this competiotion.

Boogie saw the trouble he was in and began to get to work to change his fortunes.  His plan of action: rally the troops against Dan.  He gathered the Floaters and presented his pitch about Dan being a bigger threat to them in this game than he was.  They should then pressure Shane to name Dan as the replacement nominee for Frank.  By getting the Floaters on his side, Boogie figured he then had the numbers to boot Dan out the door.  He also presented his plan to Britney and and Shane.  He tried to appeal to Britney’s sympathies by telling her he and Frank no longer blamed her for the nominations, even resorting to tears at one point, to sell his idea to her.  Britney was not as gullible as Boogie thought.  She didn’t fall for Boogie’s tears.

Boogie then decided to work on Shane man-to-man.  He told Shane that Dan was dangerous, and how Dan will win the game if he remained in the House.  Boogie’s strategy was this: if he was he last person to speak to Shane, that he would be able to influence Shane enough to get Shane to go along with his plan.  While this was happening, Britney was getting worried about the amount of time Boogie was spending with Shane alone.

At the Veto Ceremony, Frank took himself off the block.  Shane then had to name a replacement for Frank.  Everyone in the House was a bit shocked to hear his replacement for Frank…it was Jenn!  I guess Shane figured no one would really vote for Jenn with Boogie being on he block with her.  Boogie was upset that his plan failed.  Jenn was also upset about her nomination, and she was now fired up and ready to really start playing the game.  Why start now, Jenn!  All you have to do to make it throught this eviction is to sit tight and keep your mouth closed.  Please don’t cause any waves, or it will be your butt out the door, not Boogie’s!

This episode was a whole lot of back of back and forth between the BB players.  Poor Dan, getting blamed for Ian’s rouse.  I hope Ian can keep himself under wraps for a little bit longer.  I have my fingers and toes crossed for Boogie to be the packing his bags in the next episode.  Come back to find out if Ian’s deception is successul.

Until my next post, Readers!

Big Brother 14, Episode #10 – Reset, Please!

Yo-Ho Readers!

This episode of BB was an eye-opener.  Players were scrambling, lies were flying, and the results from America’s are in.  Will the Coaches be unleashed on the BB House? You will have to read on to find out!

Even after the PoV Ceremony, Frank and Boogie still believed that Shane was on their side.  Boogie was not aware of the guarantees Shane gave Frank about his safety, and Boogie was upset that he was not kept in the loop.  In reality, Shane has marked Frank as the target, but he wanted to keep Frank in the dark.

Ian is freaking out for the first time in the game.  He was beginning to assess his probability of success in the game if Frank leaves.  It’s pretty dire, folks.  He was thinking that if Frank, his biggest ally in the game, leaves, that he’ll be right behind him.

Wil started getting upset with Janelle because he felt that she was belittling her team’s efforts in competitions.  Is Janelle ever lucky Wil won’t see last episode’s footage until the game’s over, or he would have been even more upset with her than he was.  He shared his views with the rest of Team Janelle, minus Janelle.  Joe and Ashley so the smart thing in order to keep Team Janelle unified (as well as to save Janelle’s butt), and told Janelle about Wil’s complaints.

Oh, crafty Janelle!  She went to Wil to diffuse the ticking time bomb.  She was thinking that if Wil was upset with her team, that Wil would then vote to evict Joe instead of Frank, so Janelle left nothing in her bag of tricks, including the use of crocodile tears.  Too bad for Janelle, though, because Wil is a seasoned BB fan.  He knew what Janelle was capable of, and saw through her rouse immediately.  He just put on his own fake smile and accepted her apology.  Come on, Janelle! As much as I am a fan of yours, you have to remember that the Newbies have seen you play this game a few times, along with some of your tactics.  You’ll have to come up with something new to fool Wil. Yes, Readers, I think the claws will come out between these two in future episodes!

Right before the Eviction Vote, Julie Chen popped up on the monitor in the BB livingroom to announce the decision of America’s vote.  She had to fill them in on the details because they were not aware that this was going to happen this week.  As Brittany predicted, America wanted the Coaches to drop their clipboards and become players.  The only way this would become official was if one of the Coaches voted to make this change.

If all four Coaches didn’t want to become players, the game would continue as normal, but some of the evicted houseguests would then return to the game.  If even one Coach voted to become a player, the the game would be reset as if the past week did not exist, and everyone, including Shane, would be able to compete for HoH.  All of the Coaches, except Boogie, voted to become players.

The HoH Competion this week was one of endurance.  Walk the Plank (hence my greeting to you all at the beginning of this post) had all of the contestants hanging on for dear life onto the side of a boat as it tipped from side to side, rain poured in them, and simulated seagull poop showered them until one houseguest was remained.  Sorry, Readers, this is how they ended the episode.  Oh, what reality shows won’t do to create suspense to get us to tune in again!

Come back and read my next BB post to elevate this build-up of suspense! Who do you think will win HoH this week?  Me, I think it will be Janelle because she does well at competitions.

Until my next post, Readers!

Big Brother 14, Episode #9 – The Blinders Are Off.

Hey Readers!

I’m back with another update of BB! In this episode, many realizations are made that could test the trust that players have towards each other in the game.  Well, let’s get down to business and find out what happened…

Since Janelle is still worried about her other two players in harm’s way, she told them to pretend not to be upset with Shane for his nominations, and to try and make a deal with Shane.  Joe tried to hide his dislike for sucking up, but failed royally.  He went to Shane to try and broker a deal, but ended up ranting about being on the block. Shane gave him the only advise, I think, Joe deserved to hear since Shane was in this position last week.Shane pretty much told Joe to suck it up.

BB Circus was the name of this PoV Competition.  The HoH, the nominees, along with Danielle, Wil and Frank, had to keep two balls rolling on two different ramps in order to win the PoV.  Who do you think won?  Yes, it was Shane for the third week in a row.  Yeah, I know, really shocking results.

Shanking in her sandals, Janelle further tried to try to save her team by suggesting to Shane and Brittany to use the PoV on one of her players, putting Frank on the block as her replacement.  She backed up her argument by saying her team sucks at competitions, and Shane shouldn’t waste his HoH week on getting rid of weak players. She also slipped in that Boogie and Frank couldn’t be trusted.  When she didn’t get a positive response from Shane and Brittany, Janelle resorted to bribery, and offered her jewellery to Team Brittany, including her wedding ring, as an act of faith, and for three weeks of safety.  Brittany and Shane were still not impressed by Janelle’s offerings or suggestions.  Janelle, what are they suppose to do with your jewellery?  They would look like idiots if they took it and believed you, and whose to say that you wouldn’t turn her back on Team Brittany when it suited you?

After some more poking and proding from Janelle, Joe tried to win Shane over to convince him not to nominate him.  Joe guaranteed his complete loyalty to Shane if he is nominated.

Joe realized the pickle he was in, and, hat in hand, went to Shane to try to sway Shane in using the PoV on him.  Joe was honest when he pleaded with Shane, telling him that if he saved him, he would have Joe’s unwavering loyalty until the end of the game, regardless of what Janelle wanted.  Even though Shane thought it was a very emotional plea, he still could not trust what Joe was telling him.

Ian put his foot in his mouth when he had a conversation with Brittany.Brittany asked Ian whether Team Boogie would put Shane on the block next week if one of them won HoH.  For someone who swears he knows everything there is about BB, you’d think Ian would have given Brittney a more tactical answer.  Surprise, surprise, Ian told Brittany he was not sure whether they would put Shane on the block.

I think Ian should have just lied to Brittany and told told her no.  This also tell you Ian’s position on Team Boogie.  Even though he admitted in the Diary Room of not knowing which way his team would go, you could tell he had no idea where Boogie’s head is, where sreategy is concerned, and that he should watch out for his own interests in this game.  Ian’s totally controlled by Boogie, and doesn’t realize it.  Boogie will use Ian until he no longer has a use for him.

Sorry, I digressed there for a bit.  Anyway, Brittany shared this interlude with Shane, and he was finally beginning to see the light where Frank and Boogie were concerned.  Besides not trusting Boogie, they couldn’t trust Ian, either.  They also realized that may have to backdoor Frank.  If there were questions about Shane’s change in loyalty, they would use Ian as a scapegoat, saying that his conversation with Brittany was too shady for their liking.

Shane went to Frank to make sure that everything was still okay between them.  Shane also brought up the Ian situation. Frank smartly told him Ian was a young kid, that Ian didn’t know what he was talking about because he was akward.  Brirtany interupted the guys, pulling Shane away to make sure he didn’t fall for anything Frank told him.  She also rightfully warned him about discussing strategy with someone you don’t trust because they could then use it against you in the game.

At the PoV Ceremony, Shane used the PoV to remove Ashley from the block, replacing her with none other than Frank.  Finally, he listened!  The blinders are off.  Now all Shane has to do is to convince Frank and Boogie that Frank is not the target when he actually is…

Whew! So much happened during this episode.  I’m surprised I’m still able to type at all.  Thank you, Shane, for proving me wrong.  Well, sort, anyway.  If it wasn’t for Brittany’s constant nagging, he would still be in the dark about Frank.  Come back to see if Shane can get away with his rouse.

Until my next post, Readers!
