Big Brother 15, Episode #36: The Winner of Big Brother 15 Is…

Hello, Readers!

I decided to be a bit more formal with you because of this episode’s occasion: it’s Finale Night!  Yes, I’m so excited about tonight because one of my picks to win BB 15 had made it to the Final Three!  Yes, sneaky, yet calculating good guy, Andy has wormed his way to this position in the game along with GinaMarie and Spencer.  Which one of these three will win the pivotal HoH, then get the Jury to vote for them to win $500 000?  Read on and you’ll see!

When we left these three in my last post, the Final Three were competing in Part 1 of a three-part HoH Competition called The Greatest Skate.  House Guests  were being swung around the BB roller rink trying to avoid obstacles on the ground to trip them up.  Spencer was finding it hard to hold to his bar as the producers decided to speed up the cords the bars were attached to.  Spencer just couldn’t hang on any longer, and fell.

Andy and GinaMarie were still hanging tough in the game until they were being sprayed with jets of fog, water and foam.  This made Andy and GinaMarie slip and slide all over the rink until Andy’s footing gave out on him, making him let go of his bar and fall.  GinaMarie won the first of three competitions for the HoH, and a by from competing in Part 2.  She was showered with a golden glitter which she ended up choking on in her excitement. Andy confessed he began to wonder whether his fall could have cost him the game.

Part 2 of the HoH Comp called Crab Grab had the fellas rigged up for some wall climbing as they had to find the faces of the House Guests that had been evicted on crab pieces, then climb up a wall ad put them in the correct order of when they left.  Andy and Spencer got to compete individually, and both had a hard time at this challenge.  In the end, good ol’ Andy won Part 2 of the Comp!  At this point, Spencer felt he had to get GinaMarie and Andy to realize just how easy it would be for them to win the game if they took him to the Final 2 with them in order to win $50 000 and at least second place.

GinaMarie and Andy had a private conversation about what they were going to do should either of them won this HoH.  Andy said he would take GinaMarie since Spencer would beat both of them due to the fact that he has less blood on his hands than the two of them.  GinaMarie confessed in the Diary Room that she would probably go with Andy as well.  She was worried about making this move because she felt she would lose to Andy because he was such a good kid, and he deserves to win the game.  Yet, at the same time, GinaMarie could screw him over because she needed the money as well…

Julie Chen then announced to the viewers that Dr. Will Kirby ( a BB icon) had visited the Jury House to speak to the Jurors about the Final Three, and to get them to think about who they were going to vote for to win the game.  He asked the Jury what made each person worthy of the grand prize.  This got Amanda practically yelling at most of the other Jury members, and even some questionable looks shot at McCrae for his opinions that didn’t agree with those she shared.

The show then went to the Final part of the HoH Competition.  For this final part of this HoH showdown, Julie Chen asked them to finish off a statement given by each of the Jury members.  Julie Chen gave them two possible options as to how each person had responded, and the players had to choose which statement was the correct one.  For every correct answer they gave, they got a point, and if one player had more points than the other, the scales they were put on would lower in their favour.  After answering 8 questions about their Jury members, Andy answered more statements correctly than GinaMarie, making him the last, and the most important HoH of the season.  Yay! My pick has made it into the Final 2!

The show then moved quickly to the last Live Vote and Eviction of the season.   Andy apologized to Spencer, telling him he knew he told him he would take him to the Final 2, but he made a promise to GinaMarie from Day 1 that he would take her to the end of the game.  Spencer was the  last evicted House Guest from the House this season, as well as the final member of the Jury deciding who would win the game.

When Julie Chen interviewed Spencer after his eviction, he told Julie he kind of saw his eviction coming, and he was proud of Andy for staying loyal to GinaMarie for all this time.  He was also proud of the fact that he broke the “Pawn Always Goes Home” curse that lingered around the BB game.

It was now time for the Jury to interrogate the Final 2 to decide which of them would win BB 15.  First, Julie Chen introduced Spencer to the Jury as its last member, and got them up t speed as to what happened in the House.  The Julie Chen let the Jury lose on Andy and GinaMarie.  As usual, the questions, ” What was your biggest move in the game,” “What was your biggest obstacle to overcome,” and “Why should we give you the money” were asked, as well as “Why should we give you our vote when you had offended us and called us cockroaches?” by Candice of GinaMarie.  GinaMarie answered that she was upset by Nick’s leaving, that it was not an personal attack against anyone, and that she loved everyone in the House.  Wow, after cussing Candice and supporting her Eviction, GinaMarie sure does know how to do a 180º turn when $500 000 is on the line!

Then Julie Chen gave the Final 2 their last chance to sway the Jury to choose them to win the season.  GinaMarie continued her love fest, flattering the Jury, telling them how great of an opportunity this prize would be for her, and that she was sorry for offending anyone.  Andy said he played the game with his heart, but that he played the game more with his head.  He went on to say that he played both sides of the House in order to get further in the game.  Then the Jurors each put their key in a box with the name of the House Guest they wanted to win BB 15.

To add more suspense to the evening, Julie Chen then brought out the first 5 evicted House Guests so the Jury and the Final 2 could get a better perspective of what they were able to watch from home.  They spoke about all of the controversial events that happened, and how they were affected both inside and outside the House.

Finally, the moment many of you have been waiting for: the winner of BB 15!  The winner had to have at least 5 votes to win.  This was who the Jurors voted for:

Spencer – Andy; McCrae – Andy; Judd – GinaMarie; Elissa – Andy; Amanda – Andy, Aaryn – GinaMarie; Helen – Andy; Candice – Andy; and Jessie – Andy.

If you add it all up, it was a 7-2 vote for my pick ANDY!!!! YES! My pick finally won a season of a show!  My bad luck curse has finally broken!  I don’t think GinaMarie minded too much, just winning $50 000 for second place, and running straight to a somewhat weary, yet nice Nick.  She didn’t let go of him for the rest of the broadcast!  Nick took it all in stride.

Lastly, Readers, Julie Chen announced the winner of the $25 000 America’s Choice prize.  American viewers were asked to vote on who they thought played the game the best, and they would be awarded this prize.  The top 3 vote-getters were Judd, Elissa ad Howard.  Readers, it was no surprise who won…it was Elissa!  If she was chosen by America to be the MVP 3 weeks in a row, of course they were going to choose her to win this prize, too!

After all of this, Julie Chen thanked the viewers for watching this season, and the theme music closed out the show.  It was kind of sad.  I know they have the show on so often to make up for reruns during the summer, but this was my thing to watch!  Oh well, I have 2 seasons of Survivor to watch until next summer to fill this void!  Thanks, Readers, for popping in to catch up on what was happening in the BB 15 House this season.  I really appreciate your support.  If you didn’t know, I am also posting Survivor 27: Blood vs Water right now, so if you wanted to keep up with Survivor, come back to my blog and check out those posts until Big Brother 16 starts up next summer.

Until my next post, Readers!

Big Brother 15, Episode #35: Reflections of This Season’s Past

Hey Readers!

This is the second to last episode of the season!  With McCrae gone, The Exterminators, well, most of them anyway, have accomplished what no other alliance this season: get everyone they wanted evicted out of the House while making it together to the end of the game.  Now that they have to turn in each other, it should be fun to see what happens.  Read on to see what happened between the Final Three in this episode!

Andy was getting worried about McCrae and most of the other Jury Members because of his methods of getting them evicted via a double-cross.  It may hurt his chances in winning the grand prize.

Spencer wasn’t worried about the Jury.  He was very confident, calling himself the “Grim Reaper of the Block” because he was on the block and had survived it 8 times, seeing those up against him get evicted.  Yeah, no one can fault him for this.  You can only really fault the HoH who put him on the block and those who didn’t vote for him to leave the House.  But is this enough fir him to win the game in the eyes of the Jury?

The Exterminators then went on to talk about why they decided to tell McCrae about their alliance. Andy said it was because out of all if the Jury Members (except for Judd), he was the most level headed, so he would understand and judge them on being part of an alliance getting him out of the House. Before leaving the House, McCrae confessed in the Diary Room that Andy told him that Andy would be a bitter Jury member if he had been stabbed in the back. Since McCrae had just been stabbed in the back by his former 3AM alliance member, Andy, McCrae said that Andy’s words may come back to haunt him if Andy made it to the Final Two.

The show then cut to the Final Three celebrating accomplishing their goal. The producers had set out a lush snacking feast, some champagne and some OJ. The Final Three then toasted to their success, and drank their drinks.

Andy, Spencer and GinaMarie then began to reminisce about all of their favourite, and not so favourite memories of this past season. Here were some of my favourites out of the ones they talked about about showed to the viewers:

  • The Forming of the Moving Company
  • Jeremy’s Macho Freak-Outs (ex – the wine incident)
  • BB 15’s Many Showmances
  • “Judd the Studd” (how he made out with both Jessie and Aaryn)
  • The GinaMarie-Amanda Verbal Cat Fight
  • Amanda and McCrae’s “Wedding.”

Once The Final Three finished their walk down Memory Lane, they put their hands together, cheered “The Exterminators,” then wished each other luck as they prepared for the final HoH Competition of the season.

As with every season, the final HoH Competition is played in 3 parts.  In Part #1 of the Competition, everyone gets to compete.  In The Greatest Skate, all three players had to hang on to a horizontal pole attached to a rope that was swinging the House Guests around an amazing roller rink while they were wearing roller skates!  The object of this comp: be the last player hanging onto their pole while getting bashed into the obstacles around the roller rink.  Gotta love the endurance challenges!  The show ended with the Final Three hanging on for dear life as they were being swung around the BB Backyard.

This was a fun episode to watch, Readers!  I was saying, “Oh, yeah, I remember that!” and “I really wish I had the live feed to have seen that!” for most of the show.  Who do you think will win BB 15?  My last pick, Andy is still going strong, but would GinaMarie or Spencer take him with them should the win the last HoH of the season?  What kind of things will the Jury say to the Final Two when it comes down to choosing the winner?  Who will America choose as their favourite player this season?  Come back to my blog to catch how this season will wrap up!

Until my next post, Readers!

Survivor: Caramoan, Season Finale – What a Finale!

Hello Readers!

It’s Finale Night! Yes, Survivor: Caramoan is wrapping up this season, and it does not disappoint. With five Castaways left, it’s anyone’s game to win. Since.it was the Finale episode, it was a two-hour show, then the Reunion Show where they announced the winner. Who has gained the respect of The Jury to be chosen as this season’s Sole Survivor? Read on and you’ll see!

After the last Tribal Council, Erik was not feeling well. He stopped walking, telling everyone his head was spinning and having fainting spells. Jeff Probst called the medic, and he diagnosed that he was very dehydrated and under nourished. The medic then decided to pull Erik from the game. Erik was upset about the decision, but also accepted it because he was not well. The rest of the tribe wished him well as he left the game in an ambulance.

Back at Enil Edam, while still reeling about Erik’s departure, Cochran was thinking about the Final 3 and who he should bring with him. He sealed a deal with Eddie by way of a hand shake, saying it would be the two of them and Sherri, leaving Dawn by the wayside. Eddie thinks that this combination will allow him to win the game.

Tree Mail arrived, telling them that they were going to have their final Reward Challenge. Once they reach where the Challenge was going to held, Jeff Probst explained what they had to do. Each Castaway had to build a house of thick wooden cards on a platform they were balancing with a rope on a pulley system with their other hand. The first to get their structure to a marked height without any wobbles would win. The Reward: an advantage in the Final Immunity Challenge which could help them win it and take them to the Final 3. After a few crashes, Cochran stacked his way to another Challenge win! So happy, Cochran! He was truly the threat everyone wanted to tale out because he has become so dominant at Challenges.

Back at camp, the scrambling for Final 3 had begun. Sherri and Eddie wanted to be with Cochran at he end because they were worried about Dawn using her home life as guilt and play the “sympathy card” to win over The Jury.

Cochran was having to hold Dawn’s hand to reassure her about their pact in the game. He was getting tired of her constant freak-outs, and was considering ditching her. Tree Mail then arrived telling them that they were going to go on the annual Rights of Passage Walk of Remembrance. The Castaways went along a path to pick up the names of players who had been voted out of the tribe, and then burn them in a ceremonial bonfire.

At the Final Immunity Challenge, the Castaways had to run up a three-story tower to untie and collect three bags to make a fire puzzle. First person to put the puzzle together wins Immunity. Cochran’s advantage was that he didn’t have to untie the puzzle bags from the tower. After squandering his huge lead, Cochran stepped on the gas and put the puzzle together to grab the final Immunity of the game.

Back at Enil Edam, Cochran was talking as though he had won the game. He was trying to decide who he was going to bring with him to the Final 3. He knew he was going to bring Sherri with him, but he was conflicted between Dawn and Eddie.

After Dawn became emotional with Cochran, Eddie plead his case to Cochran as to why they should ditch Dawn. Eddie said Dawn would use The Jury’s sympathies to gain their votes, while Eddie’s strategies didn’t really help his game, and he didn’t do much to affect the game. Cochran still didn’t know what to do.

At Tribal Council, Jeff Probst introduced The Jury (Michael, Phillip, Malcolm, Reynold, Andrea, Brenda and Erik). He and the Castaways then spoke about Erik leaving the game. Eddie said that Erik’s departure opened the door for him, and he also spoke of his plans for the end of the game that didn’t include Cochran. Eddie and Dawn both gave their reasons as to why Cochran should take them to the Final 3. Dawn said that everyone on The Jury loved Eddie, so the smart move would be to choose her. Eddie said he didn’t make many waves in the game as Dawn had, and that she would be harder to beat than he would, so Cochran should take him. Sherri basically said you’d better take me, or else!

At the Vote, it was 3-1 for Eddie to leave the game.

The next day, the Final 3 were talking about the final Tribal Council and about the celebratory breakfast left for them. Sherri said she was still there because she controlled the alliance she was a part of. It was actually the other way around. They controlled the way Sherri voted. Dawn said she was able to make her own decisions this time around, and she was happy to be at the end with Cochran. Cochran said he was becoming worried about his chances of winning the game. It was due to his lack of confidence he had in himself at that moment. He knew he had to pull himself together in order to clinch the victory.

At the Final Tribal Council, Jeff introduced The Jury (now with Eddie as its final member). Then the Final 3 plead their cases as to why they should win the game. Dawn said she was an emotional player, yet knew she had to play the game hard in order to get to the Finals. She had also played a good game and had made her own decisions this time around. Sherri said that she fought hard throughout the game, and she was able to be a part of various alliances in order to have made it this far. Cochran said that he has had a passion for this game for a very long time. He also confessed he was.socially awkward, yet he helped to calm others down when they needed it. Finally, Cochran told The Jury he knew he couldn’t out-strategize other players, but he was able to get.to this point in the game, so they should pick him.

The Jury got their chance to let off some steam by attacking, I mean commenting on how the Final 3 played the game. One of my fav comments came from Phillip when he kicked Sherri out of Stealth-R-Us!

Jeff Probst then turned to The Jury, asking them to cast their votes to choose a winner for the season. After the Vote was over, the show cut to the CBS studios in L.A. in order to announce the winner. Readers, it wasn’t even close. All of the votes were cast for…….Cochran! Hooray! I was so proud of him. He has come a long way from his first appearance on Survivor. Near the end of the Reunion Show, it was announced that Malcolm was voted by the fans as the Sprint Player of the Season! Lucky boy, he won $100 000!

Well, Readers, this brings to a close another season of Survivor. It’s kind of sad, but it makes way for the next season. Jeff Probst gave clues as to the twist for next season. I think it will have family members playing against strangers. I’ll be tuning in! I hope you’ll be returning to my blog, not only for my Survivor posts, but for my other posts as well. Next reality show posts will be for Big Brother which will begin on June 26th!

Until my next post, Readers!

Survivor: Philippines, Season #25 Finale – Sometimes Scrapping It Out Does Pay Off!

Hey Readers!

It’s another Finale Night on Survivor: Philippines.  I have been anxiously awaiting the end of this season because I am surprised about who the Final Four Castaway are.  After her breakdown, Lisa has pulled it together and not many people knew she was Blair from The Facts of Life.  Skulpin, targeted because he was one of the three returning players, managed (with some help and some Challenge wins) to skirt through Tribal Councils to make it this far.  Malcolm, besides the fact that he was one of the most dominating people throughout this season, had to still manouever his way out of some sticky spots to get to this point.  Last, but certainly not least, Denise used her social capabilities to scrap her way through three tribes without being voted out to have the chance to be so close to the end of the game.  What will Jeff Probst have in store for the remaining Castaways? Let’s dive right in to see who will be one million dollars richer!

After getting rid of Abi during the last Tribal Council, the rest of the tribe celebrated her exit.  Once that was taken care of, the real work of solidifying a Final Three deal had begun. Everyone was scrambling, talking about what deals they had with other Castaways for the end of the game, as well as their chances were of winning.

The Castaways received Tree Mail. It contained a clue as to what their final Immunity Challenge would entail. Denise was worried about her chances of making through the final Tribal Council because she is now the outcast out of those players remaining in the game.

At the final Reward Challenge, the Castaways had to race through an obstacle course to retrieve three bags of puzzle pieces. The first to complete the puzzle won a HUGE advantage in the final Immunity Challenge. Once, again, it was a close match between Malcolm and Denise, but, as usual, Malcolm came out the victor!

It was more shop talk once everyone got back to Dangrayne. Lisa and Denise were especially talking about how dangerous it would be to keep Malcolm as one of the Final Three, and, if he doesn’t win the final Immunity Challenge, that it should be him that gets voted out. Lisa later admitted she was happy Denise would be willing to cut Malcolm loose, knowing that the alliance between Denise and Malcolm may be over. Denise was scrapping away, trying to work her magic on Skulpin as well, hoping to change his mind as well. Lisa and Skulpin were unsure who to take with them because of the options that laid in front of them.

More Tree Mail was sent to the Dangrayne tribe. It told them that they were going on the Fallen Comrades Walk before the final Immunity Challenge. This is where the final contestants follow a path with the posts which once held the fire of the Castaways who had been voted out, or had to leave the game because of illness or injury. The gang reminisced about each person, then burnt these posts at a bonfire set up for them at the end of the Walk.

At the final Immunity Challenge, the players had to balance a ball on a piece of wood that had a groove carved into it. After five minute intervals, the Castaways had to then attach more pieces to each side to lengthen their pieces of wood, making it harder to balance the ball at the center. The last player to have their ball on their piece of wood would win the last Immunity Challenge, guaranteeing their spot in the Final Three. The advantage that Malcolm won was if he dropped his ball at any point during the Challenge, he would be able to have a second chance and continue at the round where he had dropped the ball.

Everyone did well until the Round Two. Malcolm, the king of Immunity Challenges was the first to drop his ball. A few moments later, Malcolm dropped the ball again! Yeah, it was a shocker! Everyone was surprised, and Malcolm was devastated. After a few more rounds, Skulpin came out the big winner. He was the only one with a smile on his face as the tribe left Jeff Probst to figure out who would be the last Castaway voted out of the game.

Both Malcolm and Denise were working hard to make their case to Lisa and Skulpin as to why they should be taken to the Final Three. Lisa and Skulpin were split on their decision. Skulpin wanted to take the best to the end, but Lisa wanted to bring those who she thought she could beat in front of the Jury.

At Tribal Council, Jeff Probst and the Castaways spoke about the importance of the strength of an alliance. Denise and Malcolm knew they had to break their alliance at some point, and Lisa and Skulpin always wanted to stick together. They also spoke about whether the players were basing their vote on favours or strategy. Skulpin was partial to the favour Malcolm did for him when Malcolm allowed for Skulpin’s relative to join them at their camp. Lisa was partial to the strategy by getting rid of the best in order to win.

It was then time for the vote. After each Castaway made their decision, Jeff Probst counted the votes and announced that Malcolm would be the last Castaway voted out of the game, joining the other Jury members to hear the pleas of the Final Three.

The Final Three celebrated their last day in The Philippines with a super deluxe breakfast left for.them at Tree Mail. They then secretly confessed why they deserved to win the million.

At the final Tribal Council, the Final Three were on pins and needles, worried about who the Jury was going to vote for to win Survivor.. Denise explained how she had to use her social skills to make it through each tribe she was a part of in order to make it this far in the game. Lisa told the Jury she had to adjust to different situations and trust her gut to make it to the end. Skulpin explained to the Jury the reason why he deserved to win the game because he was the only remaining returning player left when he was constantly being targeted throughout the game because this was his second time playing the game.

Not surprisingly, the Jury was bitter towards the Final Three. Jonathan was particularly vocal in his address to the Final Three. He even revealed Lisa’s past fame to the Jury. No one really looked as though they cared, though. Most of the rest of the Jury yelled and belittled the last Castaways in the game. Even though they envied the Final Three, each member cast their vote as to who they wanted to win.

Jeff Probst then took the votes and the locale changed from their Tribal Council hut in The Philippines to the CBS Studios in Los Angles. He reveled one vote that was cast for each of the Final Three members before showing the rest of the Jury had chosen the Survivor: Philippines winner was…..Denise! I was so happy for her. Out of the last three players in the game, Denise did have to work the hardest to stay in the game, having to rely on her social skills to scrap her way throughout the game.

It’s the end of another season of Survivor, Readers! What still boggles my mind is how some people competing on these reality shows don’t get that players will lie and betray other players in order to win. If they are aware that players will do this to win, why are they surprised when these actions cause for them to leave the game? Maybe it is because they thought they would be able to see through the lies, yet they were not able to do so. The next season will be another Fan vs Favourites season. I can’t wait to see who the fans have voted to bring back to the game. Maybe it will be a showdown between Malcolm and Ozzy? I hope so!

To bid your time between now and the next season of Survivor, you should check out my other posts, stay tuned for my future posts on other subjects or the premiere of the next Survivor season, and look at my Facebook page to see extra things I post if you want to see some of the other things I’m interested in or like doing.

Survivor: Philippines, Episode #13 – You Are Not the Mastermind You Think You Are!

Hey Readers!

The Survivor: Philippines Finale is fast approaching!  One more episode will determine who will be named the Sole Survivor for this season.  At the end of the last episode, Abi was able to slither through another Tribal Council by telling her tribe mates she had found the other Immunity Idol, and that she would use it to save herself.  When the time came for her to use it at Tribal Council, she didn’t pull it out, making the other Castaways even more upset with her. This caused Carter’s Survivor experience to come to a close.  Will Abi’s “clever” rouse carry her through yet another Tribal Council, or will the other Castaways see through her deception and vote her out of the game? Read on and you will see!

After Tribal Council, Abi was not sure if the rest of Dangrayne still belived she had an Immunity Idol. Malcolm was worried about his chances of making it to the Final Three because of Lisa’s comments about wanting to go to the end with people she felt she could beat. He felt he would be able to win more of the Jury’s votes over Lisa, so he was just hoping she would stick to her word and follow the plan.

Abi made an excuse for herself in order to look the Idol she supposedly had in her possession. She also realized she had to destroy the alliance between Malcolm and Denise if she had a shot at reaching the end because of how dangerous the two of them were together for anyone else in the tribe.

Even though she didn’t believe what Abi was telling her, Lisa was still comptemplating whether she should take Abi to the end of the game, or to stay true to her alliance.

At the Rewards Challenge, the Castaways had to grab two bundles of rings after going through an obsticle course. They then had to toss the rings onto separate posts. The winner would win a helicopter ride to a boat waiting for them with pizza and pop and whale watching. Malcolm screwed up, allowing Skupin to have a huge lead. Not surprisingly, Malcolm made up a lot of time, and was going head-to-head with Skupin. It was not enough, though, as Skupin landed the last ring on the post, guaranteeing his Reward Challenge win. He then chose to bring Malcolm and Lisa along to enjoy his victory, leaving Denise to have to deal with a very upset Abi by herself at camp.

The next morning, Denise woke up in a lot of pain, finding strange bite marks on her neck. She was worried about it affecting her ability at the Immunity Challenge. While the rest of the tribe was praying for her recovery, Abi was hoping this “setback” would get the rest of the tribe to vote her out, making Abi’s road to the end of the game all that much easier.

For the Immunity Challenge, the contestants had to use planks to assist them across a rope bridge, then they had to assemble a puzzle maze and guide a ball through it in order to win Immunity. Malcolm fell off the bridge early in the Challenge, putting him at the back of the pack. Denise had the lead, putting the pieces of her puzzle together quickly, but out of the blue, Malcolm came from behind, got his ball through the maze, and won Immunity.

A devestated Abi was still trying to convince Lisa and Skulpin to break their alliance and take her to the Final Three. Skulpin and Lisa were considering all of their options, because the wrong choice could result in them not winning the million dollar prize.

Thinking of how to keep her own Survivor life alive, Denise asked her partner in crime, Malcolm, if he was going to give her his Idol to save her from being voted out at Tribal Council. Malcolm told her she didn’t need it becuase of their alliance deal with Lisa and Skulpin. I think Malcolm wanted to hold all of the power when they were at Tribal Council, and if Denise got voted out, it would be one less strong person to beat in front of the Jury.

At Tribal Council, Jeff Probst and the Castaways talked about Malcolm winning the Immunity Necklace, as well as Abi and her scrambling to break up the Final Four alliance she up against. Abi kept telling her tribe mates to keep her to the end because there was no way anyone would vote for her due to the fact that she was so hated by most of the Jury. She also spoke against keeping Denise because she was a threat where Abi was not one. She warned the rest of the tribe if she was to leave, that Lisa and Skulpin would not win the game.

While Jeff asked Skulpin how he was voting, Abi decided to use her “social skills” to change Skulpin’s mind about his vote by calling him stupid and a moron if he votes her out. Malcolm commented that Abi’s actions could actually be her game plan. Being hated and obnoxious is not as bad as having most of the Jury’s blood on your hands in Survivor..

The votes were tallied up. Surprise, surprise! Abi was voted out of the game (it was a 3-1 vote for her to leave). The “mastermind’s” plan had blown up in her face. Welcome to the Jury, Abi!

Now there are only two Tandang members against two members of Matsing. The intersting part of this Final showdown is that there are two members of a tribe that was dismantled and put on other tribes still battling it out to be the Sole Survivor. If I were Lisa and Skulpin, I would be worried about how this would play out in font of the Jury. To still be the game after being shuffled around from tribe to tribe speaks volumes about one of the most important components of winning Survivor: having a great social game. Denise and Malcolm both have this in spades, and if any of these two make it to the Final Three, Lisa and Skulpin may have just kissed one million dollars goodbye.

I can’t wait for the season finale in order to find out who wins it all! My money is in either Malcolm or Denise to win. Lisa and Skulpin may have make some good moves in the game, but they have also been brought along for most of it as well by those on the Jury. Who do you think will win this season of Survivor? You have to check back in here to find out who is this lucky Castaway!

Until my next post, Readers!

Big Brother 14, Episode #30 – Finale Night: Brains Over Deception

Hello Readers!

It’s Finale Night!  As mentioned on my Facebook page, I was watching with my celebratory cupcakes in hand, ready to see how this season ends.  Who will be crowned the winner of BB 14?  No, I don’t think the Jury will be giving it to Danielle.  If Dan doesn’t screw up too badly, he should come out on top, unless Ian gets the best of him.  Read on to see who comes out in top!

Dan was still hard at work.  He made a Final Two deal with Ian.  If Ian threw the first part of the HoH Competition, then Dan would take him to the Final Two, kicking Danielle to the curb.  Of course, Dan had a Final Two deal with Danielle as well. Dan told her of the deal he made with Ian, but said it was only to get Ian to drop out of the HoH Competition.  Dan also wanted Danielle to drop out of this part of the Competition, so Dan could take this round and go straight to the final round.

I didn’t think Ian and Danielle would be so stupid as to trust what anyone would say at this point in the game, but they did!  Ian dropped first, then went inside so Dan could talk to Danielle.  Then Dan wanted Danielle to think the idea to drop out was hers.  Danielle was unsure at first, then she drops!  I was about to start knocking my head on the wall over this.  Really you two!  Ian and Danielle had all of the power over Dan, but they didn’t see it.  I think Dan said it earlier this season when he was coaching Danielle when he said that you shouldn’t be agreeing to deals, that you should be actually making the deal.  They both failed to realize the Jury would credit them for getting rid of Dan and he wouldn’t have any hard feelings, once out of the House, of course.  Dan needed them to take him, not the other way around.  They should be working together to get rid of Dan, not each other.

Dan really wanted to take Danielle to Final Two because, well, it’s a no-brainer.  Most people do not respect Danielle on the Jury, and would see her as a puppet, not a player with a real strategy.  While speaking to Dan, Danielle was sharing her worries about being able to beat Ian in the next competition.  Dan was more concerned with softening up the Jury, and trying to get Danielle to promise to help him in this area by singing Dan’s praises to them.

In Part Two of the final HoH Competition, Danielle and Ian had to scale a bunch of windows and the find the faces of evicted houseguests, then put them in order of their eviction.  The player who accomplished this task the quickest won this round.  Danielle and Ian did this alone in the BB backyard.  Once both players were finished, all three houseguests went into the backyard to find out the results.  Ian beat Danielle by less than a minute to take Part Two.He will now face Dan in the Part Three of the HoH Competition.

Once the houseguests were back inside the House, Dan started celebrating, shouting “Final Two!”  Ian got upset with Dan because Danielle heard Dan what was yelling.  Danielle was furious for two reasons.  She was upset because she wouldn’t get to play for HoH, and because she thought Dan and Ian had something going on behind her back.  Why would she be upset over this, I don’t know. She has a deal with Dan for Final Two, and she knew what Dan has done in the past. What baffled me the most was that she took her frustration out on Ian, and then Ian didn’t think to say that he knew Danielle wasn’t taking him to Final Two.  Dan came out of this unscathed.  Danielle was so furious that she threatened to taint the Jury against Ian if he didn’t take her with him to Final Two.  Maybe Dan’s magic is that good, that even all his bad actions can bounce off of him and stick to other people.

The show then went to the Jury House as they were discussing who the next member will be.  Shane joined the group, and he was still shocked to be out of the game.  They then started talking about the pros and cons of the Final Three.

They thought Ian had came a long way from Day 1 in the BB House.  He became good at competitions, and could make hard decisions on his own.  Frank and Jenn didn’t like Ian because of his “betrayl” of Boogie, and how he ratted them out to the Quack Pack.

None of them saw many winning qualities in Danielle.  Like me, the Jury saw her as Dan’s puppet, following and doing whatever he wanted, and not doing anything significant by herself in the game.  Shane tried to say that she won competitions, but then he was reminded that she sqandered any power she had by letting Dan control her.

They had a fun time with Dan.  Britney was a fan of Dan’s because of how he played the game, and how dangerous he was as a player.  Jenn agreed with Britney, admiring how he sent so many people packing.  Joe and Frank disagreed with the ladies, saying that his game was dirty.  Dan was also sneaky, and it was the wrong way.to play the game.  The ladies then responded to the guys by saying there are no real rules to playing BB (except for violence against another person), so it didn’t matter whether Dan played dirty or not.  Frank shouldn’t talk.  He played dirty in this game as well.  He’s just being a sore loser.  Most of the Jury Memebers decided that they would.make up their minds at the Finale.

Part Three of the HoH Competition was a “How well do you know your fellow Jury Members” game.  Julie would begin a statement that one of the Jury Memebers had previously recorded.  Dan and Ian had to guess from two possible answers.  The player who guessed the most correct answers out of seven would be the last HoH of the summer.  After a crushing victory (or a thrown competition by Dan), Ian won, giving him the power to take one other person with him to the Final Two!

The show then rushed the Final Three into the BB Livingroom in order to have the Final Eviction.  Most people would have expected Ian to have made the smart move and choose to take Danielle with him. Nope! He said he had to live up to his word and take Dan.  Danielle looked disappointed, even though she would have done the same thing to Ian.  Oh, Ian! This was such a big risk he was taking!

The Jury Memebers were then brought out and asked Ian and Dan questions about their game-play.  The Jury then heard the Final Two’s final pleas as to why they should win the BB 14.  Ian said he was disgusted with the way Dan played the game.  He highlighted his competition wins, and let the Jurors know that Dan was able to stay in the game longer because he was a coach, having essentially three chances to win the game, whereas Ian only had one.  Dan said that he was in trouble from the reset (that he voted for), and that the only way he would win was by playing ruthlessly.  He had to control the game and constantly playing people around the clock because he knew he couldn’t win the game by winning competitions.  He could only win by getting rid of people.

The Jurors then put their keys into the  lock, this time voing for.someone to win.  Julie Chen then brought back the other evicted houseguests.  No, Willie was not invited to the festivities.  They shared their thoughts on the season because they were allowed to watch everything from home.  The Vote was finally revealed.  It was a suprising result.  The winner of Big Brother 14 was…Ian Terry!  Yes, Readers, brains did win out over deception.  The Jury voted 6-1 for him to win.  The only reason why Dan got a vote was because Danielle promised she would do so.  Really? I think she’s still under Dan’s spell.  Oh, before I forget, the viewers also got to vote.for their favourite player this season.  I’m so disappointed in their choice. They voted for Frank.  He received $25 000.

Well, Readers, there goes another season of Big Brother.  There were many highs and lows this summer.  I was wrong about my assumptions of some of the players, but it didn’t ruin how much I enjoyed watcing them do crazy things three times a week.

Now that BB 14 is over for the year, I’ll be turning to my other reality shows to fill the void.  I’ll be posting on two shows on my blog this fall season – Survivor: Philippians, and America’s Next Top Model: College Edition.  I hope you will be popping onto my blog to check out how these shows develop.  Thank you so much to those who have been checking in, it means a lot to me.

Until my next post, Readers!

Big Brother 14, Episode #29 – Memories!

Hi Readers!

This is the last episode before the big Finale! I know, the season’s almost over. There are only three players left in the game, since Dan booted Shane out of the House without Danielle knowing. The remaining houseguests are looking back on their time in the BB House, as well as getting geared up for the final HoH Competition taking place tonight. Who will be one step closer to winning it all? Let’s take a look.

Dan was scratching his head trying to figure out how he’ll get votes from the Jury since he had a hand in sending most of them there.  He thought he was in good with both Danielle and Ian for Final Two, even though Danielle was still upset with him over Shane’s departure (Does this sound familiar – Frank being upset with Dan over Boogie leaving?  Look where that got him.).  Dan went back to work, once again smoothing things over with Danielle by telling her she’ll win the game.  Danielle retorted by asking him why he couldn’t be honest with her.  She was also not sure whether she could trust Dan anymore in the game.  While these two are talking, Ian was pacing all over the House, stoking himself up to win the last HoH and then the game.  Ian, maybe you should keep your eye on the other two players potentially plotting against you instead of going around the House like a mad man.

The Final Three then partake in a celebratory brunch set out for them in the BB kitchen.  In the Diary Room, Danielle confessed she would plan her revenge on Dan while sipping mimosas.  Danielle, you have the memory of a flea.  What makes you think you will ever get around to thinking about how to get rid of Dan now?  While reminising over the events of the summer, Dan continued to work over Danielle, trying to get her to forget all of the horrible things he did to her.  Once they were done going over all of their good and bad times this summer, they toasted each other to the rest of their time in the House.

Hook, Line and Sinker was the name of Part 1 of the final HoH Competition.  The last person holding onto their human-sized fishing line would win this round of the compettion, as well as a by from Part 2.  The players were sitting on their fish hook seats while being submerged into a deep pond of water, then being swung into a padded wall while being soaked by heavy rain.  I’m not sure what the wall has to do with fishing, but I’m not a producer on this show.  The episode ended with the last three players going through this routine.  Gotta love endurance challenges!

This was a short post, I know.  There was more talking than I would have liked, but what can you do?  Now, I just want to get to the Finale.  I really hope Ian and Danielle have learned by now not to trust whatever comes out if Dan’s mouth.  Hopefully, all of their reminising helped them do this.  Yes, I’m still rooting for Dan to win, but the smart thing would be to get rid of him.  Whoever is able to do this will win the votes of the Jury.  Who will win the last HoH of the season? Who will then win it all?  We will find out during the next episode!

Until my next post, Readers!
