Mundane Monday Morning Music: Madonna – “Vogue”

Mornin’ Readers!

It’s been a bit of a mixed bag of good and bad this morning. I got my initial tasks crossed off of my “To-Do” list, but there have just been little things that seem to pop up that keep setting me back. It has made it hard to gauge which way my morning is going today.

Even picking this morning’s MMMM song has been a fickle task. I originally had a tune I thought was going to be great this morning, but it didn’t pan out that way. It took me a while to choose today’s pick. I wanted to pop into the 80s for some nostalgic music, and I eventually decided to go with some Madonna music. I wanted to go with “Holiday,” but I have already used this song already, so I had to move things up about a decade for today’s pick. I went with “Vogue.” This song always brings back memories of my friend from middle school who was a huge Madonna fan. She LOVED this song, and it became burned into my memory. “Vogue” is also one of the ultimate dance songs, so it is greatly needed to get me going this morning! Besides, how can you resist doing the choreography along with Madonna in this video?!

I hope “Vogue” gets you on your dance floor, and to some great memories to make your mundane Monday morning off to a great start!

Until my next post, Readers!

  1. Every time I hear this song I remember being on a bus in, I think Grade 8, on the way to or from some school trip. It’s a totally random memory, but I remember thinking “Wow! I’m growing up!” along with thinking how much I liked this song. Second bit still holds 🙂

    Have a good week!

    • Thanks Louise! I’m glad this song is nostalgic for you, too! This song is always popping up in my head, and it conjures up great memories, too! I also thought about how much I was growing up when I hear this song when I was younger, too!
